Ema Gathering..!!
We had Ema gathering on 15th June, which its a non profit organisation a group of Manipuri in Europe. We do charity work, at the same time to meet all the Manipuri get to know each other, as we are small community. In Uk and Europe there are more then 100 Manipuri family. Some of them are students and most of them are working. Its always good idea to meet up once in a year , since we are all so far away from home.
When we meet we have fun cooking Manipuri delicious food together. As food is one of our main focus in Manipuri society. As long as there are good food everyone is happy.
It was my first time in Ema gathering. I had incredible fun. I already knew most of them though. It was an exciting day as we never get to meet all the Manipuris often. I'am Thankful to Che Sanjeeta's family for taking to Ema gathering, without them i wont have got to know or met anyone of them. We started the day early so that we could be of help in doing some work, As we reached I quickly involved myself in the Kitchen. We all helped each other in kitchen. We had an amazing Manipuri Lunch -Fish curry, singju Salad, Ooti peas curry etc. Later in the evening we went to the park. Boys had their football match, while girls played badminton.
The highlight of the day was the magic show and playing lucky draw. We had some good laugh during the show. It was super entertaining.
I was really happy because two of my favourite girls who i knew them from before came along too. One is my childhood friend Elizabeth Yambem and family friend. The other one is Jacky. Im sure you have seen her picture in my last post. Anyways i will be sharing some of the best shot of the evening. I hope you will like them.
